Question, are the Thargoids deadly and do they have any intentions in killing you?

I got killed with 30 millions in data... I don't know what killed me or why, but now every time I exploring im in panic, It's not a chill game anymore :) (It was a Thargoid, not another player, i play private)

I like the new initial jump effect in Odyssey, but I still miss the way Witchspace used to look. Especially now with how common Hyperdictions are (and how weirdly they changed them to be less like this one here). Getting Hyperdicted just isn't the same

man if star citizen would feature something like this one day, i'd go bat shit insane, elite has it done mirraculously well, but with the freedom of sc it would be even more mesmerising

They did incredible job introducing aliens to this game. Too bad they just joined the never ending boring game loop of 'kill npc ship for credit'

why didnt this happen to me? have over 600hr of playtime . Is there something special you have to do in order to trigger this event?

you can actually tell and prepare if you're going to get hyperdicted, if your ship starts shaking a bit, you're fine, if it's perfectly still then it's a hyperdiction

Özellikle eddi uygulamasını bu video sayesinde öğrendim ve bir iki kod buldum oyuncuların yazdığı şu an oyun gerçekten çok keyifli hale geldi, ve anladığım kadarıyla sadece eddi değil başka yazılımlar mevcut. Onları sonra kontrol etmeyi düşünüyorum. Doğru anladıysam, başlangıç gemi modüllerinde örnek olarak 5e yazıyorsa, bu mühendis aracılığı ile mi yapılıyor? Ve mesela videoda fuel scoop için modül ismi vermiş olsan bile linklerde göremedim. Belki ben yakalayamadım ama, ilerde bu videoya bakıp build yapmak isteyen ve dili olmayan biri denk gelirse, kopyala yapıştır yapacaktır. Doğal olarak fuel scoop olmadan çıkabilir yola. Belki kontrol etmek istersin, şayet ben göremediysem fikrimi geri alıyorum. Eline ağzına sağlık güzel bir anlatım. Bol şans.

Had this happen to me back then, started playing again in 2023 and had no worries being interdicted in my cutter, paid no attention to the thargoid war going on, ended up with a rebuy.

Elite isn't even a horror game, yet this scene is scarier than most horror games and movies that came out recently

I remember my first interdiction. Shit gets scary when you’re an explore and are traveling through the witch head. It’s happened so many times I can almost pick a interdiction out by instinct.

The Thargoid reveal on a completely unsuspecting gaming community has to be one of the best moments in gaming ever. Gamers complacent in 100's of hours of trade and grind monotony suddenly getting the crap scared out of them was so memorable. What a pity Frontier couldn't keep it going and so many expectations have come to so little.

Couldn’t agree more with all the comments regarding the sound design; it’s top tier. My personal favourite is the sound they put in just after you get pulled out of your ship (presumably the FSD, 0:48) powering down after being forcibly disengaged. Phenomenal.

5 years ago you’d very rarely see them. Almost like winning the lottery. Now you hunt the bastards down for sport.

Imagine the first veteran getting an interdiction, having the thought that you are untouchable in hyperspace maybe sipping on a beverage to having the feeling of being totally powerless in front of a gigantic starfish...

Its sad to see elite decline into the abyss in the shadow of other better space sims like Star Citizen
